Location – Work From Home
Job Description
Pre-Admission
- Promote Washington Shruti music school by way of email, phone calls, Facebook, WhatsApp, and other social media.
- Attend and respond to enquiries from students and parents.
- Arrange for trial class between teacher and student.
- Follow-up with students and parents (those attended the trial class) for admission signup.
Admission
- Sign-up admission.
- Coordinate between teachers and students to schedule class date and time.
- If required, ensuring children of the same level and instrument are grouped together.
- Send confirmation email signup acknowledgement.
- Communicate with parents and teachers regarding requirements (example: books, instruments, and policies).
- Set up a form of communication – email, phone, WhatsApp, and web conferencing.
- Ensure they are familiar with the procedures of the school.
Post Admission
- Report on students’ progress, feedback, and improvements.
- Make sure the fees are received within the appropriate time.
- Arrange extra practice sessions for children who are unable to practice.
- Track attendance (student and teacher), make-up class and time management.
- Ensure syllabus and curriculum are communicated and followed.
- Random inspection during class.
Administration
- Teachers
- Communicate with teachers and provide information on books, equipment and lessons.
- Ensure technology requirements are being maintained.
- Ensure copyright rules are followed.
- Motivate staff.
- Identify training needs of staff.
- Institution
- Attend School Meetings.
Event Coordination
- Schedule and coordinate quarterly and annual concerts.
- Communicate event details with parents – e.g. website/newsletter.
- Organize participation in performance opportunities outside school.
Compensation
- The CC will be paid monthly based on the class completion of each student.
- Each CC to bring in students on their own (US, UK, and Canada).
- CC will be spending totally 20 to 25 hours per month.
Minimum requirement?
- Good verbal and written English communication skills.
- Need to possess and understand use of technology.
- Focus fully during the 20 to 25 hours period.
- Liking to Indian and western music.

Music Teachers (Western, Carnatic and Hindustani)
Location – Online Teaching
WaSi is looking for passionate and enthusiastic teachers who can take students through their musical journey with guidance and care. To be highly motivated and dedicated to imparting knowledge. Promote and nurture the education of students by planning lessons of study, according to guidelines, monitoring, assisting with the academic efforts of the student and providing a safe environment conducive to learning.
Job Description
- Minimum 3+ years of teaching experience of Western and/or Carnatic and/or Hindustani music.
- Must be able to customize and teach according to the students’ needs.
- Collaborative teaching, comfortable with technology (using the internet/computers).
- Educate students according to curriculum guidelines of the School.
- Imparts quality learning to the students monitors, assists, and grades student results by preparing assignments, conducting standardized tests in collaboration with the course director.
- Incorporate innovative methods of teaching to make learning fun.
- Updates job knowledge by attending faculty meetings, reading musical publications, maintaining personal networks, participating in musical organizations & teacher audits.
- Enhances the reputation of the music school by accepting ownership and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
- Music Certification a great PLUS.
- Excellent English communication skills.
- Good listening skills.
