Raja is a great piano teacher and he plays and sings very well. He teaches you a lot but in a fun way. He’s very friendly and will give you candy after your lesson. He always gives you time at the beginning of a lesson to practice. If you start a new song, he plays it for you. Some of the songs can be tricky but Raja will make it seem less tricky.

As a college student currently studying Music Education, my piano lessons with Raja were some of my best musical memories growing up. I first started lessons with Mr. Raja as an elementary student. He showed me great patience and kindness throughout each lesson, but always encouraged me to do my best. He also knew how to motivate young learners with recitals and small prizes!

I’ve been taking tabla classes from Washington Shruti for past two years now and I just cannot believe myself how well I can play tabla now. Mr. Singh has very depth understanding of tabla, this is the key of his teaching, where he will not just teach you how to play but he will make sure you understand the beat structure, the correct placement of fingers, reciting and memorizing beats. Anyone one out there want to learn tabla I would recommend Mr. Singh.

I have been attending going to mirudhangam classes for months now and it’s been a great experience. Mr. Ethiraj has amazing personality, while he is fun personality, always smiling, he is on point with learning, which is amazing combination for a teacher. I started as a complete beginner and he is very patient with me all the time, even when I miss classes and practicing due to crazy work at my office. I would totally recommend Mr. Ethiraj as a teacher for beginners as well as advanced. He has been playing Mirudhangam for decades, hence when he plays, it’s extremely motivating.

His instruction is drawn from his excellent musical training/degrees. He is patient, encouraging, detailed, thorough, and inspiring. Raja taught my son how to be a great performer by giving him many opportunities to perform in front of people. My son learned how to recover when he made mistakes and to celebrate his successes. He taught my son how to be a performer and not just a violinist.

Accommodating and patient, he adjusts the lesson pacing to suit each student, making it a joy for anyone to jump into learning the drums. He makes learning music theory easy and fun, even for a beginner. During the first conversation, he took the effort to understand my needs, goals and even my preferred location, before pairing me with a teacher.
